Sony announces the Xperia Z Ultra, a 6.4 inch powerful smartphone

xperiazuWe heard on June 7 that Sony will officially release the Sony Xperia ZU on June 25, and who knew the rumor would be true. Today, Sony officially released the Sony Xperia Z Ultra at the Mobile Asia Expo in Shanghai. The device features a huge 6.4? Full HD display, and it will go head-to-head with the Samsung Galaxy Note series, which I mentioned earlier that it is dominating the phablet market. And as we told you before, the device is running on the latest version of Android known as the Android 4.2. Have a look on some of the main features of it:

6.4” Full HD TRILUMINOS™ Display for mobile powered by X-Reality™ for mobile engine for the ultimate big screen entertainment experienceUltra slim, waterproof** and dust-resistant (IP55/IP58) durable designQualcomm® Snapdragon™ 800 processor with 2.2 GHz quad-core CPUs and 4G LTE for fast performanceWrite and sketch with any pencil and selected stylus or penFull accessory ecosystem for premium entertainment and one-touch connectivityBattery STAMINA Mode for outstanding battery life

Xperia Z Ultra featuredSony is calling it the ”world’s slimmest and largest full HD smartphone.” It is just 6.5 mm thick, which makes it the ‘largest’ full HD smartphone. Also it features a 8-megapixel camera with a front facing camera, a 3,000 mAh battery and 16 GB of internal memory with SD card support as well. So in a way, this device is close to perfect. Sony is planning to launch it in the third quarter, which is actually starting from next month. Price is unknown at the moment.

So are you planning to grab one or you are more on the Galaxy Note 2 side? Tell us about it in the comment box below.
